About Me

I am truly passionate about teaching. Before I came to John Carroll, my ultimate goal was to become a doctor. I originally majored in Chemistry, but after a trip to Florida to visit my three younger cousins, I soon realized that I love working with children, and wanted to pursue a career in Education.

Before the start of second semester of my Junior year at JCU, I saw an advertisement that my old grade school was hiring in their early learning center for classroom aides that would help and assist the lead classroom teacher with various activities and routines. I was officially hired in January 2021, and have continued to thrive there.

I currently teach and assist infants/babies, toddlers, and preschoolers with fine/gross motor activities, color and number recognition, word recognition, and basic everyday life skills. This job has been very rewarding for me as I have learned how to manage a classroom full of students, as well as create lessons that are engaging for my students. I have been give the opportunity to lead in the classroom, and practice on how to become an effective classroom teacher.

I am also going into my Pre-Student Teaching semester at St. Dominic in first grade. I have already met my cooperating teacher and students, and they are all so wonderful. I am truly blessed to be at such an amazing school with the best staff and students.
